God Doesn't Produce Anything Ugly

These “ugly” tomatoes are from this year’s garden. They may not look like the perfectly round, uniformly red ones found at supermarkets, but they pack in a lot of flavor and nutrition. There are scars on them from rubbing against a limb, changes in color from uneven sun exposure, and are shaped funky. But a lot of time and care went into producing them. They were timely watered and kept away from pesticides. To aid in their growth, natural fertilizers were introduced. And at the right time they were picked. God looks after us the same way. Although sometimes we feel “ugly” because of the scars left behind from the storms we’ve weathered, He gives us exactly what we need. Providing us with love, keeping us away from things that would bring harm to us, and choosing us at exactly the right time for our purpose. In this season of waiting, I know God is preparing me and helping me to grow so that I may be fruitful. •”Ugly” produce is perfectly safe to eat! If you see a blemish, just cut that part off and enjoy the rest. A defect you can see is safer than a pesticide you can’t.
