The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”-Footprints in the Sand

This line always takes my breath away.

It’s December and that means it’s time for holiday recipes! This first one isn’t edible but a recipe nonetheless. If you have a little one, this is a great way to commemorate their first Christmas! I made these of my little niece and nephew! - 1 c salt - 1 c flour - 1/2 c warm water - Straw - Mod podge - Paintbrushes - Paint colors of your choice • Mix your salt and flour together. • To your mixture add the warm water and knead into a dough. • Divide into 2 parts and roll into discs and smoothen the edges. • Find something to entertain the little one while you make the imprint of their hand/foot in the dough as this memory makes an imprint in your heart ❤️ • With a straw make a hole in the dough away from the edge so you can tie a string. • Bake in the oven at 200°F for 3 hours and then cool overnight. • Paint the entire disc with a paint color of your choice. Paint the imprint a different color. • Once done seal the ornament with mod podge and let dry. • Put a string through, and hang on your tree 🌲
