Is there a food or drink that takes you back to a memory the moment it hits your taste buds? This rose milk definitely does that for me. If I close my eyes while sipping, I feel like I’m back in my old house in Jaipur. On really hot days my mom would make my brother and I a tall glass of ice cold milk and @hamdardroohafza . The floral notes in this aren’t overpowering and don’t make you feel like you took a swig of perfume. It’s subtle and refreshing. Here’s my updated version of this childhood classic.
*Recipe* - 1 glass of milk of your choice - 2 T rose syrup (I used Rooh Afza, can be found at most Indian stores) - 1/4 t vanilla extract - 1 T chia seeds Optional toppings - chopped pistachios - chopped almonds - dried rose petals . . •Soak your chia seeds in a glass of milk in the fridge, overnight. Thats it! There is literally nothing else to this. Pour your rose syrup and vanilla, right before you are ready for your drink.
