Happy 3rd Anniversary to my brother and sister-in-law! For today I made a marble loaf cake (completely intentional). Since they are both pretty strict with the food they eat, I made a tiny one for them along with the regular sized one.
*Recipe* - 2 cups of all-purpose flour - 1 cup of granulated sugar - 2 t baking powder - 1/4 t salt - 1 stick of softened butter - 2 T unsweetened cocoa powder - 4 eggs - 1 t vanilla extract - 1 c whole milk • Preheat your oven to 350° • In a stand mixer, mix your sugar, salt, eggs, milk, and butter until well combined. • Sift your flour and baking powder 2x. • Turn on your mixer and add in your flour a little at a time until smooth. • Spray your cake pan with cooking spray and lime with parchment paper. Spray the paper. • Pour half the batter into your pan. • Into the remaining batter, add your cocoa powder and mix until well combined and then pour into your pan. Taking a large toothpick or butter knife and run through the batter to make swirls for your marble cake. • Bake for 40 mins. Take out of oven and let cool. . . I’m no baker, so I left mine bare. But you can decorate with frosting and sprinkles for added sweetness. For incredible cake and cupcake inspiration, checkout @studio325bakingco. They are amazing!
